Your New Vocabulary Words:
Learning is never easy and communications can be challenging.  It has been suggested by Regulators that I use simple wording and reduce or even avoid industry terms when writing out explanations.  I am sure this can seem even more complicated since my work uses the jargon of four financial industries, Investing, Insurance, Lending, and of course Financial Planning. The same word can mean some different in another context. While the suggestion of the Regulators may be a good one I am taking the liberty to agree to disagree.  I feel something may still fall short of a complete understanding if I limited my use of industry terms. I suggest that it is the consumer, reading audience that has the responsibility to learn the proper terms and phraseology to understand the whole picture.  This is also directly consistent with my core theme of making you more responsible and being directly involved in doing more of your own financial planning. So it is time to learn your new vocabulary words, to be able to grow to the next step. To make this as easy as possible I provide for your quick reference a Glossary of terms for each industry.  You will find the buttons for each of these in the column on the right side of the page.
These four Glossaries include:
Reverse Mortgage Terms
Terms for Annuities
Financial Planning Terms
Insurance Terms
Investing Terminology
